HOW WILL WE ACHIEVE OUR GOALS?

Abundance Project members commit to working collaboratively and with respect for our differences in opinion, life experience, and worldview to define the next generational political project for America, working together to lower the sense of division and alienation in American civil discourse through the pursuit of a more constructive, abundance oriented politics.

We will convene a series of gatherings, including local salons held in different locations across the country every three months and a national conference held each year.

These gatherings are an opportunity to work collaboratively towards a series of actionable policy ideas, campaigns, and political narratives we believe could make a positive difference and build concrete political infrastructure to engage in and influence public discourse around those ideas.

Eventually, we will raise money, perhaps a lot of it, to build that infrastructure in the form of an Abundance Project political action committee. Our ambitions are primarily domestic and focused on the United States. However, we see restoring health to American civil discourse as a critical precondition for solving our most pressing planetary challenges.

WHAT IS OUR TIMELINE?

We want the Abundance Project to add members slowly, with enough time for new members to join the conversation and have the space to contribute and shape it for the better. In that spirit, we propose adding cohorts of no more than five members at a time.

Our goal is to spend the remainder of 2024, 2025, and most of 2026 building Abundance Project membership from the smartest, most engaged, and influential people aligned with our vision we can find in the United States. In parallel, we will be fundraising and hiring limited support staff to coordinate the gatherings of the Abundance Project membership, work on collating the conclusions and refinement of our policy ideas, and help begin to build the tactical details of actionable campaigns created and refined by members. In 2026, likely after the midterm elections (and based on the learnings from those elections), early work on pursuing an initial set of political advocacy campaigns would begin, with the goal of being fully “in market” with our chosen campaigns by 2027 to build awareness and support of our ideas going into the 2028 political cycle. Like the rest of it, this timeline is a draft to be refined by members as we begin our work in earnest.
